Rewilding Stonnington is one of several Friends groups in the southwest section of the KooyongKoot Catchment.

Rewilding Stonnington works from project to project, across sites rather than in one specific location. In addition to our regular work at Tooronga and Prahran stations and BEAMI Park Malvern, new sites on public land are coming on-stream through the Commonwealth funded Regenerate! project 2025-28. We also support residents’ nature strip projects and work with other community groups on events, workshops and other outreach activities.
Current and upcoming Projects and Activities include work on:
- Public Parks (Council land) in Malvern, South Yarra, Toorak and Windsor
- Other public and public-facing land including:
- Railway stations (Tooronga and Prahran) through the VicTrack/Metro Station Volunteers program
- Birrarung Banks (Melbourne Water site) near Heyington rail bridge
- Nature Strips – supporting residents and
- Education, advocacy and outreach via workshops and special events.
